At Erik Homemade® we enjoy designing easy-to-follow instructions for sure-fire results. Before beginning any project, we suggest you check the CORRECTIONS Page on our weblog to make sure that there are no posts concerning your project. All of our material is presented in good faith and although we constantly strive to offer you the best recipes and project instructions, Erik Homemade® can not be held responsible for individual results, typographical/computer errors, artistic abilities, human error, or variances due to materials or supplies. You are always encouraged to contact us for further information and/or clarification.
Erik Homemade® receives a modest commission, at no extra charge to you, for products purchased through Amazon.com. See individual book/item review for more information. If there is no statement as to where the item review came from, we purchased it on our own from a local source.
Erik Homemade® is a Bluprint.com affiliate and receives a small commission, at no extra charge to you, for clicks and items purchased through Bluprint/Craftsy button or links.
Erik Homemade® is a Zazzle.com affiliate and receives small commission payments for our original designs, at no extra charge to you, for items purchased through the Erik Homemade website (as well as items designed by Erik Homemade®) .
For the best results with your projects we suggest:
- Reading through all of the instructions before you begin-making sure that your instructions are complete and that you have entire patterns and recipes.
- Having on-hand and ready all of the necessary supplies before beginning a project or recipe.
- Following, in order, the instructions or recipe as they appear to avoid omission or deletion of any step.
- Having a copy of the instructions with you while you are working on a project/recipe and a pen/pencil so that you may keep and save any notes you make for future projects of the same.
- Using accurate/level measurements/temperatures, at each stage.
- Knowing and understanding the tools you are using, getting practice ahead of time, if necessary.
- Using the best techniques for every project that you are capable of.
- When working with a particular product, always follow the manufacturer's directions to ensure the best results.
- Using common sense and good judgement when working with tools, adhesives, paints, or chemicals.
- Using adult supervision with children, when necessary.
- Testing on scraps for anything you question (ie; colorfastness, a new technique, an unfamiliar product, etc.) before you begin a project.
- Because images downloaded from the Internet may distort during the printing process, we recommend verifying all pattern pieces and templates before cutting fabrics for your project. Make any adjustments, as needed, to ensure a successful outcome.
- And when quilting, always make a sample block before cutting and entire project.
Erik HOMEMADE® is our registered trade name and legally belongs to us.
When we are able to, we name our sources for each project. If we do not name a source, we suggest that you check with your local discount/craft/fabric/or quilt shop. Due to the seasonal nature of some materials, actual availability of some products may vary. The cost of each project will vary, of course depending on the materials used. For certain supplies that may be difficult to find, we are able to offer a "buy this item" icon, or link, that will direct you to the online retailer where you may purchase the item pictured. If you have trouble finding certain supplies, feel free to contact us and we may be able to help.
Materials reviewed at Erik Homemade® are reviewed by the post writing author and contain honest remarks. We can not be responsible if another's results were different. We review products and items that we feel will interest our readers and subscribers and that our reviews will help those people make an educated decision when choosing a product.
Our contests are held by simply drawing a name from the eligible entries per contest rules listed on the CONTEST Page. Contestants must follow the contest rules to be eligible. No purchase is ever necessary to participate and the winner is final. The information collected is for the contest only; we never share your information with anyone. Winners will be notified by email/phone and the name and city announced in a later post.

All of us at Erik Homemade® hope you like our ideas enough to subscribe to our "feed" where you will get updates when new content is posted, simply click on the "Feedburner(tm) Subscription" box near the top of our MAIN/HOME Page and follow the prompts. You will receive email updates to our site. You may un-subscribe at any time thru a link at the bottom of our latest update email. Alternately, you may want to "bookmark" our site and check back often; "bookmarking" allows you to access a site without having to search for it or typing in the entire address each time you look for it--a good way not to "lose a site". You can also paste our address into your Favorites folder. We plan on keeping our content fresh and up-to-date; currently we plan on posting at least once a month, though that may change (to more frequently!) as content, time, and space allow. We also encourage you to visit other websites and blogs we enjoy, by clicking on the BLOGROLL Page or WEBRING tabs on our sidebars and following the onscreen prompts to the next location.
When subscribing via FEEDBURNER(tm): make sure to confirm your subscription from the confirmation email and enter the "Feedproxy" address into your contacts list to avoid loosing our updates as SPAM. Due to high frequency of SPAM to our inbox, we are unable to verify sent mail nor confirm "wait listed" email accounts. **If you change your email address, and wish to continue receiving updates via FEEDBURNER (tm), please let us know so that we may delete your old email account; you must fill out a new subscription-with your new email account information-to continue to receive updates from FEEDBURNER(tm). Unfortunately we can only delete accounts, not create them.
As always, if you have any questions concerning any of our policies, please contact Erik Homemade® directly at any address listed on our Contact US Page, or by sending email to [email protected].
