Not only do we have a strict recycle policy of our own; "It goes back!", we are lucky to live and work in a community that values recycling and whole-heartily supports it. Our studio recycles paper, cardboard, packaging materials, plastic bags, ink cartridges, light bulbs, disposable batteries (as we make the transition to rechargeable ones), aluminum cans, glass, and plastic bottles, not to mention the materials we don't dispose of to turn into new craft projects! We even post a recycle logo on our stationary; we are proud that we now have very little trash!
Stay tuned to our Recycle Crafts category for tips, ideas and projects!
As always, do your part to reduce and reuse! If your community doesn't have sorted recycle bins like ours, look for other ways to reduce and reuse, for example, many thrift stores need plastic bags for their customers-why not donate your used bags. We also filter our own water to cut down on the amount of bottles we buy. What a difference it all makes! In fact, we have almost completely stopped using free plastic bags from the market by simply bring our own! And better yet, we get to show off that nifty bag we made last month at quilt club, and everyone comments about it! And soon we will be using recycled paper office supplies!
Together, all of us can make difference. Let's all be green together! (Green vegetables are good for you, right?!)
Happiness is green...
