The dog-days of late summer are upon us and here in the Mid-West it is simply too warm to stand over a hot stove or burning oven; the perfect time to use the slow cooker! This easy barbeque makes delicious use of fresh produce and some pantry items you already have on hand; the left-overs are even more tasty the next day. This recipe was inspired by a friend from work...stay cool. Enjoy.
Ingredients
1 4-6 lb pork roast ( I prefer the "butt" )
1 medium onion, chopped
3-4 green onions, chopped
1 green pepper, sliced
1 can cola
1 bottle barbeque sauce (28 oz or so)
salt and fresh ground pepper
