A handy little reference, this little card is easy to keep in your purse or wallet. It helps calculate common measurements used in quilting. There are ten cards on our template...use pretty scrapbook paper cut to fit your computer printer; passing out the extra cards as gifts!
For one card you will need
1 8 1/2-inch by 11-inch sheet of scrapbook paper that is white (unprinted) on one side, or scrapbook paper cut to fit your computer's printer
1 self-sealing laminating pouch 2 15/16-inch by 3 15/16-inch, available in the office supply section 5-inch scrap of 3/4-inch wide patterned ribbon Scissors, ruler, pencil, standard-size hole punch, magic marker Choose and trim desired scrapbook paper to 8 1/2-inch by 11-inch (the size of the paper used
in the download) and insert into the printer so that the white side of the page will be the side that the computer prints on.*

Typical of the late 19th and early 20th century, this vintage advertisement card is perfect for a needle holder! Simply print the template onto cardstock, fold on the marked line, and then cut out. Cut a piece of brightly colored felt to hold a package full of needles!
For each needle holder you will need
Vintage Avertisement Card template*
cardstock, computer printer
scrap of felt, any color
several hand sewing needles
scissors, ruler, tacky type craft glue, bone folder or small tapestry needle
Download and print the Vintage Advertisement Card template onto cardstock. With ruler and bone folder, or small tapsetry needle, score fold line.
Fold card on the marked line; cut out on the dashed lines. Fold card again to make sure that the card is cut squarely; trim if necessary. Cut the small scrap of felt to fit inside of card; adhere with craft glue. Allow felt piece to dry. Stick needles through felt piece as desired.
*This graphic would also be great for a greeting card or scrapbook embellishment. Both the front and back of the original card are included. If you would like to re-create the original card, cut out both pieces separetely and glue bacl of cards together with rubber cement, aligning both pieces evenly.

Perfect for many occassions, even the office, these little cards will create a BIG impression and they are so quick to make! Simply use the business card template from your word processor program and your favorite font in a tiny size-we typed ' Little card, great big thanks! ' Use business card stationary (10 cards per sheet) to print the cards, then liven them up with some bubble-type stickers from the craft store! We punched a standard size hole on the left side then tied on a scrap of leftover ribbon! If the card alone is too small, affix the card onto a larger folded card, decorating it with stickers. Inspired by a shopping list found in an old cookbook, we've updated the list to reflect more modern tastes and laminated it to reduce using a piece of paper for each trip to the market! Download the list and print it on ivory cardstock (for true vintage appeal). Trim the list to the desired size then have the copy store "hard laminate" the copy so you can use it over and over again. Trim plastic to 1/4-inch margin all the way around. Dry-erase markers allow you to check off the list, wipe it clean when you are done, and use it again and again!

Over the internet, on the web, and at my quilt group, there has been much disscussion about being a member (official or not) of S.A.B.L.E. (Suppiles Accumulated Beyond Life Expectancy)! A few have decided they are not because they finish their projects, while others definately are! I am proud to say I AM, most definately--A lifetime member! And S.A.B.L.E. isn't just for quilters! There are members in every craft group! I will bet that your quilt/knit/craft or scrapbooking group has S.A.B.L.E. members. Make them "official" with these wallet-sized identifiction cards!
Here is a clip-art template for you to share with your own quilt or craft group! The template includes 10 cards; copy the template as many times as you need onto cardstock (we used colored cardstock) and cut out, then personlize each card.
