Erik's Tip

An accurate 1/4-inch seam allowance is essential for quilting! An ordinary index card will help you find the correct allowance since the lines are 1/4-inch apart--stitch a line and adjust as necessary!

A friendly Shout-Out to our readers in Denmark!

This little fellow sends friendly greetings...not just to our readers in Denmark, but to all of you everywhere...and he is the opening project in our Cross Stitch Category!

"HEJ" is the Danish word for hello and perfect for adorning a blank card...or stitch him on enough fabric, leaving off the word, to turn into a soft-stuffed Christmas tree ornament; this viking was stitched on 14 count Aida fabric with three strands of floss.
