So easy...ANYONE can make it! Fun to make with kids!
Cake:
2 cups white sugar
2 small cans crushed pineapple, undrained
2 cups self-rising flour
2 eggs, slightly beaten
Preheat oven to 350-degrees F. In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients. Spread into a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Bake 25 minutes, or until cake tests done with a toothpick.
Topping:
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 stick butter, (1/2 cup)
1 small can evaporated milk
In a small saucepan, boil together 3-5 minutes, or until sugar is dissolved. Spread on cake. 1 cup coconut and 1 cup chopped nuts may also be added before spreading on cake.
Serves: 8-10
